What the hell?
Oh, well.....I've always wanted to make a romantic comedy.
I'm a hopeless romantic so it's just kinda there. I never
really liked making a movie that was going to get people unhappy
in the end, that's why most of our movies usually gravitated
to the light-hearted side of the story. Kinda like the whole
Jackie Chan thing, I didn't want to use blood. Sure enough
that there is fighting and everything, but using blood almost
seals the deal of it being a movie everyone can enjoy to putting
that missing period of pointing out violence. We've never
took ourselves too seriously as though we're anything great,
so making a movie that shows that was easy. Hell, we had fun
making this movie.
Yes and no. I've mentioned before that I'm a hopeless romantic
and obviously I've watched many movies to help me out. My
two greatest influence in making this movie is Hitch
and this Singapore movie that I'm sure most people would have
never heard of until now is That's The Way I Like
It. "That's the way I like it" follows
the more traditional way of making a romantic comedy to where
you have the boy meets girl and they have their dating montage
then they suddenly break to which at the end of the movie
do they come back together with passion never to be broken
again type of thing.-Wish- follows this formula
pretty much but it has the ideas of Hitch
however. Since Hitch is much more modern
on the views of love, I decided to incorporate it. With Will's
help, I got a look into the world of a Pick Up Artist. These
are the guys that have honed their ways into acting like suitable
suitors for women. Will Smith's character was kinda like that,
but he helped those guys who didn't have the ability to show
how special they are to women by encouraging them to show
their talents to those women that they cared for. So traditional
way of filming meets the ideas of the new generation. And
HK style fight scenes. Sounds good right?

No. Make a left at the light next to the Moorestown Mall,
that's Route 38 and take that all the way to the Falls.
It took us a year and half to make this movie, and to be honest,
what I said in the movie was real. How I felt about love,
relationship, and women are right there on the screen, unscripted.
I've changed much over the year and a half and it's partly
because of the whole Pick Up Artist thing. I, for one, am
not a pick up artist - but one of the biggest things they
point out is that, I am special. I can offer women something
that no other guy can. After reading everything they've said,
I began to understand myself better than I thought I could.
Now this is the part that I divert away from the whole PUA
community and start thinking about myself: I still just want
to love ONE woman. I'm still a hopeless romantic, but that
doesn't mean I'm going to stay quiet in the corner like I
always did. Nhan told me once before, "You can't make
a girl like you if she doesn't," which is totally true
but you can't also just sit there and shut up and never let
her know you're alive, right? We're all looking for the reason
why we're here and take that fall.
In the end, all we can do is jump and hope that we're flying.
